Many of our dogs have already experienced shelter stays, rehoming, or the loss of a familiar home. We look for adopters who are ready to provide patience, stability, and care throughout their dog’s life.

Fostering gives a dog a safe place to decompress, build trust, learn routines, and prepare for a forever family. It also allows us to help another dog waiting for rescue.
Daisy’s Legacy provides supplies, veterinary care, and support. You provide daily care, patience, and a welcoming home.
🤝 Surrender a Dog
If you are considering surrendering your dog, please reach out and tell us about your situation.
Share your dog’s age, size, medical history, behavior, and experience with children and other animals, along with recent photos and your reason for seeking placement. Please disclose any bite history or known safety concerns so we can assess the dog’s needs responsibly.
Our ability to accept a dog depends on available foster homes, resources, and whether we can safely meet their needs. Contacting us does not guarantee placement or immediate intake.
Please allow as much time as possible. Until a transfer is agreed upon and completed, you remain responsible for your dog’s care.

💙 What to Know Before Applying
Everyone in Your Household Must Be On Board
Before applying to adopt or foster, discuss the commitment with all family members or housemates. Consider daily care, existing pets, work schedules, travel, and the time a dog may need to adjust.
Rescue Dogs Need Patience and Understanding
We often have limited information about a dog’s past. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, potty-training status, or compatibility with children and other animals. We share the information available to us, but new needs may become apparent as a dog settles in.
Our goal is to give dogs stability and prepare them for permanent, loving homes.
We Carefully Review Applications
Adoption and foster applicants must be 21 or older. Our screening includes background and public-record checks, personal-reference checks, and veterinary-reference and record checks. In some cases, we also conduct a home visit.
For renters, we verify permission to keep a dog. Please provide accurate information and make sure your references and veterinary offices are prepared to respond.
Submitting an application does not reserve a dog or guarantee approval. Every placement decision considers the animal’s best interests.
