Our sweet 6-month-old rescue puppy, Genie, is fighting for her life. What started as a bloated belly quickly turned into a medical emergency.
After an emergency visit to VCA SouthPaws, we learned that Genie may have a serious condition preventing food from moving through her stomach and intestines. She now needs repeat X-rays, an ultrasound, and additional diagnostics to determine whether she has a foreign body, intestinal narrowing, or a congenital condition. Based on the emergency veterinarian’s assessment, it is very likely that Genie will require surgery if one of these conditions is confirmed.
💔 Her emergency bill has already exceeded $3,000, and we still have a long road ahead.
