🌍💫 Breaking New Ground: Our First International Rescue! 💫🌍
We’re thrilled to share that Charlie is arriving next week from Bulgaria — making history as the first international rescue in Daisy’s Legacy’s journey! 🇧🇬🐾
Meet Charlie, a sweet pup from Bulgaria whose life took a sudden turn when his owner had to move abroad and could no longer care for him. Left with an uncertain future, Charlie’s path could have ended in heartbreak — but instead, it led to hope.
Now, thanks to our incredible rescue community and the determination to go above and beyond, Charlie is making the long journey to the U.S. to start fresh with Daisy’s Legacy. 🐾✈️
And he won’t be traveling alone — he’s being personally escorted by none other than the President of Daisy’s Legacy herself, because that’s how much every life matters to us.
Charlie’s story is more than just one dog’s rescue.
It’s a symbol of everything we believe in — that every animal deserves a chance, no matter where they are in the world.
It’s proof that compassion knows no borders, and that love, once found, can travel any distance.

Remember Max and Teddy? These two sweethearts were once on the euthanasia list, facing an uncertain future. But their story didn’t end there — it was just beginning. 💛 With love, patience, and time to heal, Max and Teddy found their forever home… with none other than our very own Director of Community Outreach & Engagement, Cecilia Boyer, and her husband Michael! Today, they’re thriving, endlessly spoiled, and living the happy, carefree life every dog deserves. From heartbreak to home — this is what rescue is all about. 🐾❤️
💛 Foster Wins Turned Forever Homes
Sarah & Chris, along with Coco (formerly Roxy) and Harley, are a beautiful reminder of what fostering can lead to. They didn’t just open their home — they opened their hearts. After saving Coco and Harley from the euthanasia list, Sarah and Chris knew they had found something special… and they made it official. Now both pups are adopted and thriving in a home full of love, laughter, and second chances. 🐾
Looking Ahead to August: Clear the Shelters
August is all about second chances and finding homes for pets in need. Clear the Shelters is a nationwide animal welfare campaign dedicated to helping rescues and shelters find loving families for every adoptable animal. We’re proud to take part this year — stay tuned for ways you can help us make a difference!
🌟 Foster Spotlight: Donald 🌟
This month, we’re shining a light on the amazing Donald, foster dad to sweet Delila.
Delila’s story began in heartbreak — abandoned at a dog park and left to wonder if love would ever find her again. But from the moment Donald stepped in, everything changed.
He’s been by her side ever since, showing her that she will never be alone or forgotten again. Thanks to his love, patience, and kindness, Delila is thriving — and finally knows what it means to feel safe.
We are so grateful for fosters like Donald who show up when dogs need them most.
Thank you, Donald, for giving Delila the love and second chance she deserves. 🐾

Daisy’s Legacy is Heading to TAFA 2025!
We’re incredibly excited to announce that Daisy’s Legacy will be attending Taking Action for Animals (TAFA) 2025 from August 1–3 in New Orleans, Louisiana! This national conference, hosted by the Humane Society of the United States, is one of the leading events for animal advocates across the U.S. – and we’re honored to be part of it. While we’re still in the early stages as a foster-based rescue, this opportunity allows us to learn, grow, and connect with change-makers who are shaping the future of animal welfare.
