After five years living outside, Max and Teddy, two 5-year-old Lhasa Apso mixes, are finally safe — and thriving in foster care. These brothers are sweet, affectionate, and ready to find their forever home together or seperate.

U.S. Honoring Our Heroes: Sgt. Michael Mather’s Story
At Daisy’s Legacy, we are proud to stand by those who have sacrificed everything for our country. This month, we honor Sergeant Michael Mather, E-5, U.S. Army & former SSgt, U.S. Air Force, whose story is a powerful reminder of courage, service, and resilience.
Michael enlisted in the Air Force just two weeks after high school and later retrained with the U.S. Army as a Fire Support Specialist. On October 11, 2008, while serving in Iraq, Michael was shot through the face and neck by a sniper while securing an Iraqi Police checkpoint. Despite his life-threatening injury, he shielded his platoon leader and continued calling out enemy positions until his medic reached him.
In his own words:
“To this day, I am willing to give my life so that others may live.”
Michael’s strength, humility, and unwavering commitment to service inspire us all. At Daisy’s Legacy, we are honored to support veterans like Michael and ensure they and their service dogs receive the care, resources, and recognition they deserve.

This month we celebrated three more beautiful forever matches!
🐾 Joe – The ultimate lapdog and cuddle champion, Joe has found his people — and their couch! With his warm heart and laid-back spirit, he’s now exactly where he was always meant to be: loved, safe, and endlessly adored.
🐾 Fitch – This quirky little companion has wiggled his way right into his adopter’s heart! With his scruffy charm, playful spirit, and silly personality, Fitch brings nonstop joy and laughter to his new home. He’s living proof that second chances are worth it.
🐾 Cheer – Sweet, gentle, and full of light, Cheer has settled into her forever home like she’s always belonged. She now spends her days soaking up snuggles, spreading calm energy, and reminding us all just how healing love can be.
