We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our amazing Founder and President, Krasi Mircheva, has been nationally recognized with the Trailblazer in Animal Welfare Award by Humane World for Animals!
This award honors Krasi’s passion, vision, and dedication to saving at-risk animals, fighting for pet equity, and building a rescue where every life matters. It’s not just a win for Krasi — it’s a win for every dog, every adopter, every foster, and every supporter who believes in second chances.
Krasi and our Co-Founder Mira traveled to the national Animal Care Expo, where they shared Daisy’s Legacy’s story with rescue leaders from across the country, built new partnerships, and helped expand Daisy’s impact far beyond what we ever imagined.

Victor & Vance arrived at Daisy’s Legacy needing medical care and a safe place to heal. Thanks to the love and patience of their foster family, they recovered from pneumonia and blossomed into happy, healthy boys.
And like so many great foster stories — their foster family couldn’t imagine life without them! 🐾 Now Victor & Vance are living their best lives together, surrounded by love, sunshine, and plenty of cuddles. These happy tails are only possible because of amazing fosters and generous supporters like you. 💙

Dora’s Greatest Discovery: Home 💕
After all she’s been through, Dora’s greatest adventure has brought her exactly where she belongs — home. 💛
With the help of enrichment, love, and patience, Dora blossomed into a happy, confident girl. Now, she wakes up each day surrounded by her adoring forever family, sharing playtime with her furry sibling and soaking up endless snuggles, belly rubs, and love. Her journey is a beautiful reminder of why every second chance matters. 💙

A big thank you to the Petfinder Foundation for awarding Daisy’s Legacy a 2025 Dog Enrichment Grant! 🐾
Thanks to their support, our pups are enjoying new toys, agility gear, cozy spaces, and fun enrichment to help them shine while waiting for forever homes.

⚖️ Daisy’s Legacy Day in Court — Fighting for Justice
On May 9, Daisy’s story was heard in Arlington General District Court as we stood up for her and for every animal who depends on safe, accountable care.
While nothing can undo Daisy’s loss, we are committed to using her story to continue advocating for safety, responsibility, and stronger protections for animals everywhere.
Together, we continue fighting for safety, compassion, and accountability for all animals.

🐾 Rescued Just in Time — Saved #ThanksToDaisy
Teddy and Max were saved from PG County Shelter just hours before their deadline, thanks to an incredible foster and the support of Daisy’s Legacy.
After spending the last 5 years living outside, they are finally safe, warm, and beginning to experience what it feels like to be loved. They have a long road ahead as they learn to trust, settle into home life, and discover the joys of being cherished pets.
Teddy and Max still need vet care, neuter surgeries, microchips, and ongoing support — and we need your help to continue giving them the care they deserve.
